Patrol Officer – Cambridge Health Alliance Department of Public Safety

Responsible for the public safety of the Cambridge Health Alliance and its surrounding ground.  Performs general law enforcement duties in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules and regulations of Cambridge Health Alliance and applicable federal, state and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents.

The successful candidate will understand principles of criminal justice, demonstrate good communication skills, will be public relations oriented, and respectful in both attitude and appearance.

Education/Experience Requirements:       

Associate Degree in law enforcement, or equivalent degree or experience in Law Enforcement, Security or other related field. 

One year prior experience in security, loss prevention and/or criminal justice.  Basic knowledge of security and law enforcement practices.   Ability to solve problems on an independent basis. Ability to produce concise, accurate and well written reports.  Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Licensure Requirements:  
Possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Drivers License
Become eligible to attain SSPO Powers within 1 year in accordance to MGL 22 S63
Valid Massachusetts LTC
